Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were stunning and spacious but a little dated, although very clean and adequate for one night. The service was really helpful and friendly overall, but the dining was a letdown with some dishes not meeting expectations. The location had its charms but seemed indifferent, and the dining options were limited at times. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.
The hotel had a big crack in one of the rooms, and the dressing table was on the verge of collapse, which made our initial impression quite disappointing. The staff, however, tried to accommodate our needs, even with limited resources. The dining experience could have been better with more variety, but the food quality was impressive. Overall, a mixed experience with some notable positives and drawbacks.
I found my stay at The Great House to be quite charming with its olde world style rooms, but not ideal for long stays due to the small size. The self-catering facilities were nice, but I expected milk for my tea and coffee. Tumbling out of bed for breakfast was convenient, although there were some room for improvements.
